FRANCISCO RUBIEL OSORIO FABER

Francisco Rubiel Osorio Faber is an American-Austrian-Colombian artist whose work explores the emotional and existential dimensions of the human condition. Through painting and other materials, he delves into themes of duality, beauty and suffering, truth and deception, clarity and mystery, inviting deep reflection and emotional resonance. With over two decades of exhibitions in the U.S., Colombia, and Austria, his career has been shaped by a commitment to reinvention and cultural dialogue.

Francisco’s creative process is deeply personal and intuitive, driven by a need to transform inner chaos into visual and symbolic language. Each work becomes both a question and a release, a space for exploration, discovery, connection, and growth. His academic training in studio arts, combined with years of community engagement, grounds his practice in a rich conceptual and visual foundation. Influenced by his studies with Pat Passlof in New York City, his art balances structure , spontaneity, action and contemplation. Through vibrant colors and dynamic forms, he explores the tensions between inner and outer worlds, instinct and reason.

Born on December 26, 1983, in the United States, Francisco has lived between Colombia and the U.S. throughout his life. Today, he seeks to shape his future in Austria, where he continues to expand his artistic vision and cultural horizons. The question of origin and identity is central to his work, prompting deep introspection and a continual search for meaning. The diverse cultures that have shaped his life leave a lasting imprint on his art, which often navigates the visual depth of both natural and urban landscapes. In every brushstroke or word, he finds a path to redemption, self-discovery, and a sense of wholeness.
